Flourish Homes has a total of £65,000 in grant funding available for projects which benefit local communities and environments.
It is split into two funds:
The Community Chest Fund
A total of £25,000 is available for grants.
Our grants committee meets four times a year to look at applications for funding for up to £2,500.
You can also apply for smaller grants for up to £1,000 and decisions on these can be made within eight weeks.

Environmental Improvement Fund
This £40,000 fund is managed by our four area tenant forums who decided how to spend this annual sum of money. Therefore only Flourish Homes tenants can apply to the fund. They can bid for money to improve their local environment and it is usually awarded to specific projects that make local areas better or help people to enjoy outside areas more.
Some examples of environmental improvements that might be funded are:
- Landscaping or planting work
- Improved estate lighting
- Provision of added bin storage
- Fencing
- Paving
- Security measures eg door entry systems, defensive shrubs, lighting
- Signage
- Parking enhancements
The areas for improvement must belong to Flourish Homes and applicants will need to show that they have the support of their community for what they are proposing.
All applications are decided by fellow tenants on the forum. Much of the organisation to get the work is also done by forum members, with support from Flourish Homes staff if they need it.
If you are interested in finding out more about the Environmental Improvement Fund, please email info@flourishhomes.co.uk or telephone Flourish Homes on 01749 334455.
